Tottenham crumble again at home as Fulham pile misery on Thomas Frank

Tottenham’s dismal run continued with a 2-1 defeat to Fulham, leaving manager Thomas Frank under mounting pressure after Spurs conceded twice inside the opening six minutes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Kenny Tete’s deflected strike in the fourth minute and Harry Wilson’s exquisite 40-yard lob — gifted by a catastrophic error from goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario — stunned the hosts. Vicario’s bizarre decision to play a clearance straight to a Fulham player sparked immediate boos from the home crowd.

Despite Mohammed Kudus pulling one back in the 59th minute, Spurs fell to a third straight loss in a nightmare week and their fourth defeat in six Premier League games. The result extended a dire home record: just three wins from their last 21 league matches at the stadium.

A creditable midweek display in Paris against PSG had briefly eased the heat on Frank after the north London derby thrashing, but this latest collapse reignited scrutiny over his tactics and the team’s chronic lack of cutting edge.

Promising youngsters Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall kept their places, yet before the teenage duo could settle, Tottenham were already 2-0 down. Fulham threatened repeatedly, striking the woodwork and forcing heroic defending from stand-in captain Micky van de Ven.

Spurs improved after the break, creating several chances, but wasted them with poor final balls. Randal Kolo Muani headed wide from a rare decent cross and later sent a backheel off target in stoppage time.

Frank threw on Rodrigo Bentancur, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons in search of an equaliser, but Raúl Jiménez cleared a goal-bound effort off the line and Fulham held firm for a deserved victory, leaving Tottenham staring at another difficult December.
