TORONTO — On Thursday, the Toronto Maple Leafs sent tough forward Ryan Reaves to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenseman Henry Thrun.

Last season, the 38-year-old Reaves recorded two assists and accumulated 28 penalty minutes over 35 games. He also added an assist in three games while playing in the American Hockey League.
Throughout his career, Reaves has scored 63 goals and made 74 assists, along with racking up 1,100 penalty minutes in 912 regular-season games with teams like St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Vegas, the New York Rangers, Minnesota, and Toronto. He has also participated in 113 playoff games.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old Thrun scored two goals and provided ten assists in 60 games for the Sharks last season. In total, he has five goals and twenty assists across 119 NHL games, all played with San Jose.
