
Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryker Evans signed a two-year contract extension on Monday, featuring an average annual value of $2.05 million and extending through the 2026-27 season.
At 23 years old, Evans amassed 25 points, comprising five goals and 20 assists across 73 outings in his inaugural complete season with the Kraken. Selected in the second round of the 2021 draft, he made his NHL debut on December 7, 2023.
“Ryker made significant strides during his first full NHL season,” stated general manager Jason Botterill. “Since going pro, he has demonstrated consistent growth each year, and we believe he will elevate his performance next season. We are pleased to have secured him in a contract.”
The 6-foot, 195-pound defenseman has accumulated 34 points over 109 NHL matches. He made his debut for Team Canada at this year’s world hockey championship, registering two assists in eight games.
