LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Rams have officially signed safety Quentin Lake to a three-year contract extension, the team confirmed Thursday.
While financial details were not disclosed by the team, a source told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler that the deal could be worth up to $42 million, including $25.7 million guaranteed.
Lake, a 2022 sixth-round draft pick, was in the final year of his rookie contract. He had played every defensive snap this season before suffering an elbow dislocation in Week 11.
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that Lake will enter the team’s 21-day practice window starting Thursday, with the goal of returning in time for Los Angeles’ first playoff game.
