LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Rams have secured inside linebacker Nate Landman with a contract extension, his agency SportsTrust Advisors confirmed Saturday.
The new pact is a three-year, $22.5 million agreement that carries $15.67 million in guarantees, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Landman originally joined the Rams on a one-year contract in March free agency and quickly earned a captain’s “C” in his debut season with the team. The hard-hitting linebacker has already posted 1.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and 91 tackles through 10 games.
“He’s got tremendous feel and emotional intelligence out there,” Rams coach Sean McVay said Friday. “He’s an absolute competitor. Our players gravitated to him right away—just the way he plays, the way he carries himself. Getting to know him has been a pleasure; he embodies everything we want this team to stand for.”
Before arriving in L.A., the 26-year-old spent his first three NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. Across his career, Landman now has 10 forced fumbles, 3.5 sacks, one interception, and 283 total tackles.
