Kyren Williams, a running back for the Rams, agrees to a three-year contract extension worth $33 million.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kyren Williams, a running back for the Los Angeles Rams, has agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract extension that includes a $23 million guarantee.

Williams, 24, stated his desire to sign a contract extension with Los Angeles two weeks ago on the day the Rams reported to training camp. When the running back arrived at training camp, he declared that he would not skip any of the drills.

That day, Williams declared, “I want to play for the Rams,” “I want to be with that person. I want to stay with that person. I’m confident it will work out.

Drew Rosenhaus, Williams’ agent, went to Loyola Marymount University’s Rams training camp the following day.

Since the beginning of the 2023 season, Williams, a 2022 fifth-round selection, has been the Rams’ main running back. Williams was responsible for 43% of the Rams’ total touches in the previous season, the most in the NFL, according to ESPN Research.

According to ESPN Research, Williams has tied Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs for the most scrimmage touchdowns in the NFL over the past two seasons with 31. After Saquon Barkley (2,967) and Derrick Henry (3,088), he has the third-most rushing yards (2,443) over the past two seasons.

Williams will receive the seventh-highest average yearly compensation for the role with the $33 million extension.
