SALT LAKE CITY — Utah guard Ace Bailey exited Friday’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons in the first half due to a left hip strain and did not return for the remainder of the game.

Bailey, scoreless in 11 minutes of action, watched as the Jazz narrowly defeated the Pistons 131-129.
The No. 5 overall pick in this year’s draft entered the game averaging 10.7 points per game. The 6-foot-9 guard had recorded double-digit scoring in four consecutive games and has frequently played during crucial moments for Utah.
Brice Sensabaugh replaced Bailey in the second half and matched his season-high with 20 points. Keyonte George led the team with 31 points, including a game-winning floater with 2.1 seconds left, helping Utah end a four-game losing streak.
The Jazz will face the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
