Georgia football fan favorite Nick Chubb has discovered a new place to play.

Running back Nick Chubb has been one of the favorite players in Georgia football over the past ten years. He not only had an amazing career at Georgia but also enjoyed a strong few seasons with the Cleveland Browns after being drafted in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Chubb rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first five seasons (he finished with 996 rushing yards as a rookie, which is pretty close). However, tragedy struck during the 2023 season when he suffered a serious knee injury in week two that ended his season.

He missed the start of the 2024 season but came back to play eight games. Unfortunately, another injury cut his 2024 season short as well. Running backs usually don’t have long careers in the NFL, especially after two major injuries. But that’s not true for Chubb; he is reportedly set to sign with the Houston Texans on Monday, according to Ian Rapoport from NFL Network.

Nick Chubb’s legacy is already secure among Georgia fans. As mentioned earlier, Georgia fans adore Chubb more than many other former Bulldogs. He truly represents what it means to be a Bulldog during his time at Georgia and now in the NFL with the Browns. So no matter how his career goes in Houston, UGA fans will always support Chubb no matter what happens next.

Georgia fans obviously hope he finds great success with the Texans, which is definitely possible given how strong their team is. So here’s wishing Chubb and Houston lots of success!Georgia fans would be thrilled to watch him have at least one more exciting season.
