Formula 1 newcomer Kimi Antonelli successfully completed his final exams to graduate from high school in Italy, just as he has been overtaking other cars on racetracks around the globe: effortlessly.

The 18-year-old driver for Mercedes shared the news on his Instagram story on Monday, posting “promosso” – which means “passed” – along with a picture of himself wearing a laurel wreath.
After achieving his first podium finish by placing third at the Canadian Grand Prix, Antonelli went back to his hometown of Casalecchio di Reno, close to Bologna, to take his exams.
“I felt pretty stressed because I didn’t have a lot of time to study. But I tried my hardest,” Antonelli shared with reporters after finishing the first part of his exams last week.
He mentioned that English is his favorite subject “because it’s the one I find easiest.”
Antonelli also said he wanted to finish the exams, which had both written and oral parts, before the next Austrian GP “so I can focus entirely on racing.”
