Cristiano Ronaldo makes history with 100 goals for four clubs

Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first footballer to reach 100 goals for four clubs: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juventus, and Al Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo achieved the milestone of becoming the initial player to net 100 competitive goals across four separate clubs on Saturday, despite Al Nassr’s defeat to Al Ahli in a penalty shootout after the Saudi Super Cup final ended in a 2-2 tie.

His first-half goal at the Hong Kong Stadium marked his 100th tally for the Saudi club, which he signed with in December 2022.

This milestone adds to his impressive tally of 450 goals for Real Madrid, 145 for Manchester United, and 101 for Juventus, placing Ronaldo ahead of the three players who had previously reached the 100-goal mark for three different clubs: Isidro Lángara, who played in Spain from 1930 to 1948, along with Brazilian legends Romário and Neymar.

Ronaldo, still in pursuit of a significant trophy in Saudi Arabia, is also recognized as the top international goal scorer, having netted 138 times for Portugal.

The five-time Ballon d’Or recipient put Al Nassr in the lead with a penalty at the 41-minute mark, but Franck Kessié promptly brought Al Ahli back on level terms.

With only seven minutes left, Marcelo Brozovic reclaimed the lead for Al Nassr, yet Brazilian defender Ibañez managed to equalize with a header from a corner, sending the match into a penalty shootout.

Ronaldo converted yet another penalty, but his teammate Abdullah Al-Khaibari missed his attempt, allowing Al Ahli to secure a 5-3 victory and claim the first trophy of the Saudi season.
