Chelsea’s CWC win over PSG marred by post-game scuffle

Chelsea’s victory in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday was overshadowed by a fight that broke out on the field at MetLife Stadium. The brawl involved PSG coach Luis Enrique, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, defender Achraf Hakimi, and Chelsea forward João Pedro.

Things got intense after the whistle was blown.

As Chelsea’s players celebrated their win, several PSG players approached Pedro, who had scored the winning goal, near the center circle. Then, Luis Enrique appeared to push Pedro while he was facing off with Hakimi and Donnarumma.

Pedro fell to the ground, and more pushing and shoving took place until Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca stepped in to pull Donnarumma away from the situation.

The altercations continued on the field as they began to set up for the post-match presentation.
