Nuno Espírito Santo has signed a new contract with Nottingham Forest that will last until the summer of 2028. He achieved this after leading the team to qualify for a European competition for the first time since the 1995-96 season, as announced by the Premier League club on Saturday.
Nuno, who is from Portugal and has previously coached Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur, joined Forest in December 2023. He helped the team stay in the league and then led them to a seventh-place finish in 2024-25, marking their best performance in the top division in thirty years.
Forest just missed earning a spot in the Champions League, finishing one point behind Newcastle United, who secured fifth place. Instead, they will compete in the playoff round of the Conference League.
“I am thrilled to keep going on our journey at this amazing football club,” Nuno said in a statement after signing a new three-year contract.
“We have put in a lot of effort to build a strong connection between the players, the fans, and everyone at the club, which helped us achieve great success last season. Now is the time to work even harder as we aim for more unforgettable moments together.”
