Mohamed Salah, Bruno Fernandes up for PFA Player award.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes are on the list of players nominated for the 2024-25 Men’s PFA Player of the Year award.

Players vote for this award at the end of each season, and the winner will be revealed during a ceremony at Manchester Opera House on August 19.

Midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Declan Rice also received nominations after having impressive seasons with Liverpool and Arsenal, respectively. Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak round out the six-player shortlist.

Salah, who won this award in 2017-18 and 2021-22, is favored to win again this year. He had a fantastic season with Liverpool, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists, helping his team secure the Premier League title under coach Arne Slot.

His teammate Mac Allister is also recognized for his crucial contribution to Liverpool’s championship victory, making 35 league appearances last season.

Premier League 2024-25

Portugal’s international player, Fernandes, has received a nomination for his outstanding individual performance, even though United struggled in the league last season.

The 30-year-old scored eight goals and provided ten assists in the league during the season. He also became the player with the most goal contributions in UEFA Europa League history by leading his team to the final.

Cole Palmer, who won last season’s Young Player of the Year award, has been nominated for the main honor this year after scoring 15 goals in the Premier League, helping Chelsea secure a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Newcastle’s Isak is nominated for his first PFA Players’ Player of the Year award after an amazing season where he scored 23 league goals. He played a key role in helping Eddie Howe’s team win their first major trophy in over 50 years by scoring in the League Cup final at Wembley.

Completing the list is England international Rice, who achieved a career-high with nine goals in one season for Arsenal and added 10 assists over 52 matches across all competitions.
