Chase Briscoe secured his third consecutive pole position and a total of four poles this year in NASCAR at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday.

Briscoe, who drives the No. 19 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, completed a qualifying lap at 195.514 mph on the 2-mile oval. This marked the fastest pole speed in the Cup Series since Ryan Blaney topped 200 mph in Texas back in 2018.
He is looking for his first win of the year after finishing in the top five five times, which would also be his third career victory.
“It feels great to start at the front, and we’ve managed to do that for three weeks now, but we haven’t been able to make it count,” Briscoe said. “So, maybe this time will be lucky.”
Kyle Busch, driving the No. 8 Chevrolet, will take off from second place on Sunday in the FireKeepers Casino 400.
Denny Hamlin qualified third in his No. 11 Toyota, while points leader William Byron took fourth place in his No. 24 Chevrolet.
Defending race champion Tyler Reddick will start from the twelfth position in his No. 45 Toyota for 23XI Racing, which is currently suing NASCAR.
