Former NFL defensive back Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones was taken into custody close to Cincinnati.

Former NFL defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones was taken into custody early Saturday morning in the greater Cincinnati area, according to court records.

The 41-year-old Jones was processed just before 2 a.m. on Saturday at the Kenton County jail, as noted in the court log. He was arrested by the Covington Police Department and faces charges of being publicly intoxicated, disorderly conduct, and assaulting a police or probation officer.

After posting a $10,000 bond, he was released around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. No other details about the arrest have been made public yet.

This latest arrest in Covington, which lies just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, is at least the fourth time Jones has been arrested since 2021. He has now faced public intoxication charges for three consecutive years.

In 2023, Jones was taken off a flight that was about to depart from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and charged with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct, and making terroristic threats, as reported by The Associated Press.

The previous year, he was arrested for public intoxication and for assaulting an officer while attending a boxing event in Arlington, Texas.

The most notable incident occurred in 2021 when Jones pleaded no contest to two counts of misdemeanor assault after an incident at a bar in Cincinnati. According to Hamilton County court records, he served 18 days in jail for that case.

Jones was picked sixth overall in the 2005 NFL draft and played for 12 seasons from 2005 to 2018, spending eight of those years with the Cincinnati Bengals. He earned All-Pro honors as a kick returner in 2014 and made it to the Pro Bowl in 2015 as a cornerback.
