Fred Warner commends the 49ers for their efforts to secure contracts for him, Brock Purdy, and George Kittle.

Fred Warner believes the 49ers demonstrated their commitment this offseason by focusing on new contracts for him, quarterback Brock Purdy, and tight end George Kittle.

Warner, a seasoned linebacker who has spent his entire career with the 49ers, signed a three-year deal worth $63 million this offseason. Purdy’s contract is for five years and totals $265 million, while Kittle signed on for four years at $76 million. Warner thinks this shows that the 49ers are serious about winning.

“I’m really thankful to everyone involved, especially the York family, John Lynch, and Kyle Shanahan,” Warner said through 49ers.com. “The process was smooth, and I’m also happy for George Kittle and Brock Purdy to have their deals completed.”

Warner expressed his desire to play for just one team during his NFL career.

“It truly means everything to me,” he stated. “When I got drafted here in 2018, it felt like a dream come true.

This was exactly where I wanted to be because I knew they believed in me as a young player who had never played off-the-ball linebacker before. I was pretty inexperienced back then. Achieving my dream of being an NFL player and a 49er still feels incredible to me. Signing this deal is still a dream.”

After a disappointing season in 2024 following their NFC championship in 2023, the 49ers are hopeful that they have secured the core players needed to return to being competitive consistently.
