Liverpool’s Conor Bradley to miss remainder of season due to knee injury

Liverpool defender Conor Bradley will be sidelined for the rest of the season after sustaining a serious knee injury during Thursday’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal. Bradley went down off the ball in stoppage time at the Emirates Stadium and had to be stretchered off. Head coach Arne Slot later admitted the club “feared the worst” for the right-back. Subsequent scans showed that while Bradley avoided an ACL injury, he has suffered significant damage to the bone and ligaments in his left knee

Conor Bradley is out for the rest of Liverpool’s season.

It’s a major setback for Slot’s team, which had already been without teenage centre-back Giovanni Leoni due to an ACL injury this season. Bradley’s injury sparked an on-field altercation in north London, with Arsenal substitute Gabriel Martinelli throwing the ball at the 22-year-old and trying to push him off the pitch as Arsenal chased a late goal. The Brazilian later issued both public and private apologies for his actions.
