DETROIT — Cade Cunningham did not play in the Detroit Pistons’ 108-93 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday due to a wrist contusion. The All-Star point guard, who has also been managing a hip contusion, was listed as “probable” on Tuesday but was downgraded to “questionable” on Wednesday before ultimately being ruled out.
Cunningham is averaging 26.7 points, 9.7 assists, and 6.2 rebounds this season as the Pistons lead the Eastern Conference with a 28-9 record, just two seasons after finishing 14-68, a season that included an NBA-record 28-game losing streak.
Detroit was also without starters center Jalen Duren (ankle) and forward Tobias Harris (hip), while the Bulls were missing guard Coby White (calf).
