PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia 76ers announced Wednesday that forward Kelly Oubre Jr. will be sidelined a minimum of two weeks after suffering a sprained LCL in his left knee, with a reevaluation scheduled at that point.
Oubre sustained the injury last Friday against the Detroit Pistons when he hyperextended the knee. A subsequent MRI confirmed the LCL strain.
The 29-year-old had started all 12 games this season for Philadelphia, posting averages of 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists across 34.8 minutes per game.
Now in his third season with the 76ers and 11th year in the NBA overall, Oubre has previously played for the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, and Charlotte Hornets.
Philadelphia faced the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night without Joel Embiid (knee management, fourth straight absence) and Paul George (knee), who had just returned Monday for his season debut.
