Trevon Diggs, a cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, was placed on injured reserve on Saturday due to his ongoing concussion symptoms.

Diggs can make a comeback on Thanksgiving against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he will miss at least the next four games.
Diggs had an accident at home on October 16 and reported symptoms of a concussion. Coach Brian Schottenheimer stated on Friday that the team has more details about what transpired, but he promised to let Diggs explain when he next speaks to the media.
After consecutive Pro Bowl seasons, Diggs inked a five-year, $97 million contract extension in 2023, but he has since suffered from a string of injuries.
Diggs will be on injured reserve for at least a part of the season for the third consecutive year. In 2023, he missed 15 games due to an ACL tear. Due to a knee injury that ultimately required surgery, he missed six games last season.
Executive vice president Stephen Jones stated on Friday on 105.3 The Fan that Diggs was battling other illnesses and that a period of time on injured reserve might help him recover completely.
Kaiir Elam will start opposite DaRon Bland in Diggs’ place. Trikweze Bridges played outside and Bland moved into the slot when the Cowboys used three cornerbacks last week.
The Cowboys will be without Diggs as well as two starting safetymen. Juanyeh Thomas was ruled out on Saturday due to what is being described as a migraine that affects his vision. On Friday, Donovan Wilson was ruled out due to a shoulder injury. Wilson star Malik Hooker is on injured reserve due to a toe injury.
After practicing all week, the Cowboys decided to keep center Cooper Beebe on injured reserve. The team believed Beebe would gain from an additional week of practice as he recovers from a broken foot bone. Brock Hoffman is going to keep starting.
