Lewis Hamilton remains confident that Ferrari can return to title-chasing form, pushing back against what he says is an overly negative media narrative about the team’s 2025 season.
Hamilton finished eighth at the Singapore Grand Prix, later dropping a spot after receiving a time penalty for multiple track violations while managing a late-race brake issue. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, faced similar problems and came home sixth, adding to another tough weekend for Ferrari.
The Italian team is still searching for its first win of the season, while rivals McLaren, Red Bull, and Mercedes have each claimed multiple victories.
Despite the struggles, the seven-time world champion says the team’s resilience gives him hope. In a heartfelt message shared online, Hamilton said he’s focusing on the positives rather than the setbacks.

Lewis Hamilton finished eighth in Singapore.
“The media headlines only tell one story — when things go wrong,” Hamilton wrote. “But what I’ve been focused on is how this team responds. How we get back up and keep pushing.”
He praised Ferrari’s strategy execution in Singapore, saying the only thing holding them back was the brake issue that hit late in the race.
“I’m really proud of this team,” he added. “We’re making progress, and I want to help deliver the results the team and the tifosi deserve. Progress alone isn’t enough — to achieve greatness, we need to go further. I truly believe we’ll get there.”
Hamilton also opened his post by reflecting on the recent passing of his beloved dog, Roscoe, a familiar presence in the F1 paddock and a fan favorite on social media.
“After a tough week, it feels good to be home,” he shared. “The love and support I’ve received since losing Roscoe has reminded me that even in dark times, there’s still so much good in the world.”
