Liverpool legend Joey Jones passed away at the age of 70, as confirmed by the club on Tuesday.

During his impressive three-year period at Liverpool from 1975 to 1978, Jones made 100 appearances and helped the team win two European Cups, a UEFA Cup, and a league title.
He also played for Wrexham, Chelsea, and Huddersfield Town, and represented Wales internationally with 72 caps.
His former teammate Mickey Thomas shared his sorrow on X: “This morning I lost my best friend and soulmate, Sir Joey. Our memories will always remain.”
“Today my heart is shattered. Love you, Sir Joey. Rest in peace. My thoughts are with Janice and the entire family.”
Liverpool expressed their condolences: “Everyone at LFC is thinking of Joey’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
