Isaiah Jackson, Pacers agree to 3-year, $21M deal

Free agent center Isaiah Jackson has signed a three-year, $21 million contract to come back to the Indiana Pacers, according to CAA’s Drew Morrison and Sam Rose, who shared the news with ESPN on Friday.

After Myles Turner left in free agency, the Pacers brought back big man James Wiseman and traded for 7-footer Jay Huff. They are now eager to see how Jackson grows as another young player in their main group.

The Pacers announced the trade involving Jackson later on Friday, but they did not reveal any details about the agreement.

Jackson, who is 23 years old, missed most of last season because he tore his right Achilles tendon in early November. Wiseman also had an Achilles injury just a few weeks before that, which limited Indiana’s options for their frontcourt at the start of the season.

In his last fully healthy season, 2023-24, Jackson averaged 7.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks while playing just under 17 minutes per game.

Jackson joined Indiana through a five-team trade in the summer of 2021 after being picked in the first round by the Los Angeles Lakers.
