Feyi-Waboso and Slade both start for England XV

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso and Henry Slade are included in the starting lineup for Steve Borthwick’s England XV as they prepare to face France XV at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, June 21, with a kickoff at 3:15 PM.

This match marks Feyi-Waboso’s return after he suffered a shoulder injury in December, which kept him out of action for both his club and country for most of the season. Fans from the South-West are eagerly watching and hoping that the young talent will come back from international duty healthy and ready to have a strong start with the Chiefs later this year.

Additionally, George Ford and Jamie George will serve as co-captains.

In the front row, Fin Baxter takes the loosehead position, with George at hooker and Joe Heyes at tighthead.

The second row consists of Alex Coles paired with Nick Isiekwe.

In the back row, Ted Hill plays on the blindside flank, while his club teammate Guy Pepper, who was named player of the match in last weekend’s Premiership Final, takes the openside. Tom Willis rounds out the pack at No.8.

The half-back combination features Ben Spencer as the scrum-half and Ford as the fly-half.

In the midfield, Seb Atkinson will play at inside center with Slade positioned outside him at 13.

The back three consists of Feyi-Waboso on the left wing, Tom Roebuck on the right wing, and Joe Carpenter as the full-back.

Theo Dan, Bevan Rodd, Trevor Davison, Chandler Cunningham-South, Jack Kenningham, Alex Dombrandt, Raffi Quirke, and Oscar Beard are listed as substitutes.

“We’re thrilled to be playing at Allianz Stadium and eager to challenge a strong French team,” Borthwick stated.

“I can’t wait to see this young squad go out there and demonstrate their skills.

“This is a fantastic chance for us to make progress before the summer Tour to Argentina and the US.”

Tickets for Saturday’s match are still available starting at £25. For more details and to purchase tickets, visit: www.englandrugby.com/xvtickets

England’s summer Tour includes two Tests in Argentina followed by a game against the USA in Washington, D.C. The squad for the Tour will be announced on Monday, June 23.
