Michigan football loses two more staffers who are important to Wolverines’ recruiting success

On Friday, it was announced that Michigan football would be losing Jack Dunaway, their Assistant Director of Recruiting, to the Seattle Seahawks, where he will work as a scouting assistant. However, he is not the only one departing from Ann Arbor.

According to Matt Zenitz from 247Sports, the Wolverines will also lose Josh Meyer and Jack Turner to the NFL. Meyer, who served as a recruiting analyst, is joining the Cleveland Browns to help with scouting.

Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans are set to hire Turner for a scouting position; he also worked as a recruiting analyst for Michigan.

Since last year, Michigan has seen several recruiting analysts leave for NFL jobs. However, they have promoted some staff members like Sam Popper into significant roles that have allowed them to keep up their successful recruiting efforts.

Popper, now the Director of Recruiting, has greatly supported Sherrone Moore in maintaining high-level recruitment without any setbacks.

Currently, the Wolverines have nine commitments for the 2026 class and are starting to gain interest from various prospects. The end of June could be crucial for Michigan as they aim to further strengthen their recruiting class.
