Aaron Rodgers has officially joined a new team. The experienced quarterback reached an agreement with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday and is set to participate in the mandatory minicamp next week.
He was let go by the New York Jets in mid-March but took some time to consider his options before choosing Pittsburgh.
Rodgers, who will turn 42 during the 2025 season, is anticipated to be the starting quarterback for the Steelers. Last season, he passed for 3,897 yards, threw 29 touchdown passes, and had 11 interceptions.
This was his first full season with the Jets after recovering from an Achilles injury he sustained in Week 1 of 2023. He was one of the top quarterbacks available this offseason and has won the league MVP award four times.
